Month 12 - Reino's 1st Birthday Party

I had my first birthday party today! It was such a fun day! Momma and Daddy woke me this morning and Grandma and Grandpa Hayes were still here. They had balloons on the stairs and they already had presents in the living room! There was a lot of activity in the morning. I played with Grandpa Hayes a lot. He played with my toys and we watched Handy Manny together on TV. I finally got tired again and went to take a nap. When I woke up there were MORE presents, and food, and balloons...and a CAKE! It was very festive!

My buddy Caleb and Auntie Carrie came over first. Caleb and I got to play together - it was fun! Sidney and Caden came over next. They are so big and are fascinating! They brought their momma Ms Kristin. Uncle Mike came over - he explained to me that Auntie Trish was in class and couldn't come see me, but she would make it up to me! Spencer brought his parents over too. Spencer is big too - he can get around all over the place and I liked to follow him around. I got to play with everyone, then I opened presents. WOW! That was a lot of fun! Then I got CAKE! A whole cake for myself! We played a lot more with all of my toys. Momma and Daddy kept putting things together and I just kept playing. I didn't ever want to go to sleep!

I finally got to tired and Momma put me to bed. I only fell and hurt my mouth once and my eye once. Momma thinks I will have a black eye - but it was my first birthday!

Month 11 - Trip to Washington, DC

This was my second trip to Washington, DC. But it was the first time I really got to explore with Daddy and Momma. I am not sure if I really liked it. They kept me trapped in my stroller the whole time. Then when they did let me out - Momma kept saying "the floor is dirty...oh well!" Momma and Daddy walked all over the place. We saw the White House, the cherry blossoms, the Natural History Museum, the Space Museum, Union Station, the Capital Building and lots, lots more. They kept telling me this is history - but I didn't care! I just wanted to get out and explore! Daddy brought me to DC all by himself! We first took a plane, then a train, then a cab to meet Mommy! I about had it by the time we got on the train. It was really crowded and I was tired of being trapped! By the time we met Momma, Daddy was upset and I just wanted to be free! They let me crawl all over the hotel lobby just so I wouldn't cry! I have them trained well!
