My Aunt Gay and cousin Hunter flew in from Kansas on Wednesday, June 4th to spend a week with me. We had a wonderful time. They got in early in the afternoon and we picked them up at the airport...(my 7th time at the airport since I was born.)
Momma drove them to our house and it was HOT! I haven't experienced this type of weather before. It was in the high 80's Momma said - I really don't know what that means! We showed them around our house and the neighborhood. Aunt Gay said I had a really nice room. They thought Akira was big compared to the last time they had seen her. We all went for a walk and we even went by the pond to see if there were any ducks. We didn't see any though, we only saw tadpoles. My cousin Hunter taught me that even when I am 5, I can get my momma to carry me while we walk Akira! We cooked out that evening and then we all went to go get Hunter a soccer ball so Daddy could teach him how to kick it around. They played outside for a long time. Daddy promised that when I am big enough, I could go play outside with them too!
On Thursday we went to Grandpa Hayes' favorite place, the train store! My cousin Hunter LOVED it! I had been there before, but I still liked all the noise the toy trains made. Hunter bought some trains for him and Grandpa Hayes. We also went to the mall. I didn't really like the mall, so I decided to throw a fit and got everyone to leave!
Friday we went to Grandy Becker's house to the pool. It was HOT! Momma tried to keep me cool, but she finally stripped me down so I could cool off. She didn't want me in the pool b/c she thought I might get too cold, but I think it might have been nice. My cousin Hunter had a good time and he got good at putting his face under the water. That night my Aunt Gay and Hunter took care of me while Daddy and Momma went to dinner with Bruno and Kristin. I tried to be good, but I tend to be a Momma's boy. I was glad when she got back to hold me and feed me!
Saturday we all went to Canada to go to Niagara Falls. It was both Hunter and my first time to go to another country and see the Falls. WOW! It was amazing! I slept through most of it though. Daddy tried to keep me in the shade so I wouldn't get a sunburn. It was hot and I just kicked back and snoozed. My cousin Hunter thought it was very cool. Aunt Gay and Hunter went on Maid of the Mist. Hunter said he didn't like it b/c he got wet and couldn't see very well.
After seeing the falls, Daddy drove us along the Niagara river and we went to the Butterfly Conservatory - I LOVED IT! I was fascinated with all the light. I was really good here and I hoped I wouldn't have to leave...ever!
Our next stop was Niagara on the Lake. We saw Lake Ontario. Hunter got to play in the lake, but I just hung out with Momma in the shade. It was very pretty and peaceful. After we left there, Momma wanted to go to the outlet mall. She was so excited b/c she found out Nike was going to be coming in. That is her favorite store! I had enough for the day - so I wasn't very good. It was a long day and Momma keeps asking what she is going to do with me since I won't let her shop!
Sunday was a day that we tried to catch up on our sleep. It took Daddy and Momma forever to get around. It was kind of rainy out too. When we finally left, we took Aunt Gay and Hunter to Hamburg Beach for Hunter to play. It was windy and cold. There were people playing in the water and Momma said they were crazy. We went to Grandpa and Grandy Becker's house after that for a cookout. It was nice to hang out with Grandy. I got to show her some of my new smiling tricks!
Monday was hot again so we went to Grandy Becker's house again to be in the pool. We spent a LOT of time there. Kathy Burke came over to meet me. I was a little fussy, but I got to show her my smiling tricks too...it always makes up for my fussiness! Daddy came over after work and played in the pool with Hunter. We all ended up going to dinner at JPs, then back home.
Tuesday was their last day. We were going to go to the pool, but it was rainy, so we met Daddy for lunch at Taffy's and then we went to Target and Wegman's. It was nice to spend some quiet time with them before they left.
We had to take them back to the airport EARLY on Wednesday. I was sad to see them leave, but Hunter promised he would play with me over Christmas...I can't WAIT!
My Uncle Al, Aunt Cathy and cousins - Albert and Elizabeth came to meet me this weekend. They brought me some outfits and shoes and Elizabeth made me a blanket. Momma says it is going to be perfect for when it gets cold in Buffalo. I don't know what that means, but she seems serious about it! 
Albert and Elizabeth played in the pool too. They showed me how they dive and swim laps. They said they have a pool and when Daddy and Momma take me to Boston to see them, I can go swimming in their pool! I guess I need to take swim lessons so I can dive into the pool like they can!
